Dare to leap
For the few years I have been here(44 to be precise and I own it), I have always been a dare devil with traveling, living overseas in multiple places, ask for forgiveness rather than permission at work( moved to Florida which was outside of my territory)…, traded in my luxury life to a camping road life with Djaz, (my pup) an airstream and truck( yes I sold my ocean front condo, elegant Audi and all my belongings)…and off I went into the unknown….you’d think I would be fearless but I think fear has no bottom nor a cap, it will appear when most needed. What I mean by most needed, to claim freedom, to set yourself free from your endless mind chatter or simply to deepen your relationship with self. This is a never ending journey and each time you will learn new ways of conquering your mind and loving tenderly on your heart.
While I believed I had everything I have been seeking, there always seemed to be a gap, something missing, infinite need to have better, greater, more. And to not ever lose anything I owned or had….does that sound familiar? Sooo, questions such as “what am I here to do, what’s my life purpose, what do I want to do, what can I still change?” Arose even more intensely and finally decided to not swipe these thoughts under a rug but instead, I put my white gloves on to tackle them, together with my home made stories, right or wrong, they were part of me. An Ocean of tidal waves was upon me of what I refer to as emotions and feelings. …”what in the world did I open, a can of woop$&@“for sure! For some of us we thrive and others may get into a bit of a thundercloud, but it’s best to see the rainbow in the sky because you always made it through the fun and hard times right, so why not this time? Of course you will!You probably already know by now that peace comes with disturbance, and truth is, you gotta embrace that part just as much, because it’s made out of the same energy. Without one, you don’t have the other. You can’t swim in the ocean when there is no water. It’s called land….haha.
So, I picked up workshops and explored psychic mediumship, boundaries, reiki, genekeys, Toltec apprenticeships, documentaries on Gaia tv, YouTube, tarot card and astrology classes and more. The question “what am I here to do in this lifetime. A few years later, my life transformed due to some insight, subtle changes and simply because it’s all figuroutable! Yes it is and highly recommend reading the book! It works! Here I am writing to you( this time not out of an airstream roaming around like a wanderer) from Subaru dealership waiting for my car to be serviced. Are you thinking right now, what Astrid is such an Audi girl? Yes, but I can totally be another car girl too, it just depends on what our mind makes us think is important! Status or no car payment, sexy and elegant or wanderlust elegant and practical in a new way? See….I gained more, in my opinion that is anyway. Truth to be said, there are times when we feel like a fool when we jump into the unknown yet there are ways to ensuring you are doing the right thing! Simple check ins with yourself, what are the first reactions or feelings that come up with the change you are willing to make or the sacrifice offering in exchange of something greater? Life can be as easy or difficult as we make it ourselves and most of the musical play is written from within. Do you see your cup full or empty, it’s entirely up to you but all I ask is for telling yourself the truth, because otherwise all I am sharing with you, is lost in translation and goes up in smoke. What is something that is part of maintaining your image yet you feel there’s an opportunity or possibility to have more or what your heart desires, what are you willing to settle with, or willing to give up, to receive more of what you want in life. while writing down your curiosity, please send your judges on vacation to Maui while you are opening up to new parts of you, and just let it be you with you! It’s energizing, exhilarating and freeing, trust yourself( me if you feel you need an extra push) and just have total fun with it. It’s what you make of it!
For years the desire to show up and be mask free was a choice and greatest desire and I can say that by learning to stand in my own pier and shadows and embracing fear, it’s the algebra way of gaining momentum and confidence to be alive and fully step into a life that’s designed to have it all, even if you doubt it is, you gotta give up the trust you place into your mind and judges and reconcile, make love with your heart!
It takes time( never enough of it), patience and courage to show up, all of you!! You wish you had started the work a bit ayo, I promise!
